Gary W. Cartia

Gary W. Cartia, age 70 of Port Vue, passed away in his home on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.  Born September 25, 1947 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Samuel S. and Frances (Clark) Cartia.  The retired police chief of Port Vue Borough, Gary was a beloved and respected officer in the area.  He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police #91, the Chiefs of Allegheny County, Club 22 in Glassport, and the Polish Club of Glassport.  Gary is survived his sons Robert (Kathy) Cartia of North Huntingdon and David (Charlene) Cartia of Coulter, his grandchildren, and his brother Richard Cartia of Florissant, MO.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 10 AM until at 1 PM Blessing Service in the funeral home with Deacon Dale DiSanto officiating.  Procession and burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Port Vue.
