Eleanor V. (Serfazo) Lyons

Eleanor V. (Serfazo) Lyons, age 80 McKeesport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2017 in Allegheny General Hospital after a long illness.  Born October 6, 1936 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth (Makatura) Serfazo.  Eleanor lived in McKeesport most of her adult life and then moved to Elizabeth Twp. to be close to her daughter.  Afterwards, she lived at Jefferson Hills Manor for three and a half years until her illness.  Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband Daniel C. Lyons, who passed away in 1996, her brother Earnest Serfazo of Joilet, MT, and sisters Nancy O'Keefe of Irwin and Roberta Schaible of Ohio.  Eleanor is survived by her daughter Pamela (Robert) Gardner of Elizabeth Twp., her son William Lyons of Bedford, her sisters Dorothy "Dee" Growden of Bedford and Patricia Ann Barnyak of Jeannette, her sister-in-law Marge Peterson; and also several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.  A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11 AM with Rev. Ronald Calabro officiating.  Procession and burial will follow to Penn Lincoln Memorial Park in North Huntingdon.
