Diana Ines (Zando) Puckey

On September 11, 2016, the Angels came and escorted our loved one Diana Ines (Zando) Puckey, age 85, to Heaven, where she will be reunited with her husband, Dale Edward Puckey, Sr.; parents, Valentino and Angela (Frassenei) Zando; sister, Margaret Wright; brother, Carl Zando and many beloved family and friends that have passed before her. Known to all as Dinah Puckey, she was born January 15, 1931 in Slickville and grew up in Large. A resident of Clairton, Dinah worked at Continental Can and was also employed at Pine Run United Methodist Church for 22 years as a custodian. She belonged to the Daughters of America and was very active in her children’s lives. Dinah was a devoted and treasured mother to her daughter, Valerie DeBellis of Clairton and her son, Dale Edward (Shelley) Puckey, Jr. of South Park. She leaves behind grandchildren, Angela (Rocky) Recaldini, David Adam (Tricia) DeBellis, Justin (Terri) Puckey, Bryan (Tara) Puckey, and Sean Puckey; great grandchildren Paige and Ryder Recaldini, Tyler and Hannah DeBellis, Jacob, Kayla, Dylan, Taylor, Alexa and Brooklyn Puckey. She also leaves behind many sister and brother-in- laws, nieces and nephews as well as an extended family that was near and dear to her heart including, John and Lillian Gergley and family, Lynn Moon, and Jackie Borreggine. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Michael Airgood officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
