Arleigh E. Smith

Arleigh E. Smith, age 70 of Liberty Borough, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 in John J. Kane Regional Center in McKeesport.  Born July 18, 1946 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Arleigh L. and Fay Smith.  A retired truck driver from Langenfleder Trucking, who also worked at US Steel National Tube and was a member of the Teamsters Local #205 in McKeesport, Arleigh was a Vietnam Era Veteran of the US Navy.  He attended St. Mark's Parish and was a member of the American Legion of Salsbury, PA, the Star Junction Gun Club, and the Monroeville/Pitcarin Gun Club.  He is survived by his wife Mary T. (Venturini) Smith, his brother, Kenneth W. Smith of Dravosburg, and also nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Mark's Parish, Liberty Borough Site, with Fr. Daniel Straughn officiating.  Procession and burial will follow to Calvary Cemetery, Port Vue.
