Anthony J. DeCarlo, Sr., age 84 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018. Born August 2, 1933 in Glassport, he was a son of the late Frank and Rosario (Rossi) DeCarlo. The owner of DeCarlo's Fruit Market in Elizabeth, Anthony was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and an active member of St. Patrick's Church in Christy Park, serving as an usher and greeter and a member of both its Holy Name Society and Men's Club. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Josephine P. (Wasko) DeCarlo who passed away June 11, 2009, his son Anthony J. DeCarlo, Jr. who passed away November 3, 2017, and his siblings: Frank "Smokey" DeCarlo, Rose Marchelletta, Elizabeth Vanscoy, and Julia Caldas. Anthony is survived by his children Mark Patrick (Kathy) DeCarlo, Jamie (Debby) DeCarlo, and Anita (Jim) Williams; his seven grandchildren; his four great-grandchildren, his sister Mary Nolfi, daughter in law, Tracy DeCarlo, his friend Jane McDermitt, and also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10 AM in St. Patrick's Church. Procession and entombment to follow to Lebanon Church Cemetery, West Mifflin. Memorial contributions in Anthony's name should be made to the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer, 999 Rock Run Road, Elizabeth, PA 15037 or the charity of the donor's choice.
